Covid19

Dear Valued Patient,
With the recent news about novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we thought you’d appreciate knowing the steps Lakemoor Dental takes in each office – every day – to protect the health and safety of patients and staff.
Our goal is to provide a safe and protected environment every time you visit one of our offices. Your health and well being are our highest priorities.
Lakemoor Dental is following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the American Dental Association (ADA), and Dental Board of Illinois  as well as our own Quality Management Team staffed with full-time Dentists supporting our dental office teams.
The CDC has indicated that the risk of exposure to the virus for most people is low, and we continue to follow the rigorous infection control protocols we have always had in place for maintaining a clean and safe environment. For example, every dental chair and arm/headrest is thoroughly disinfected after each use. Replacement masks and gloves are used by doctors and staff with each patient treated. All exposed surfaces are sanitized after every patient treatment or exam. And sterile dental tools are used for each patient.
In addition, common areas (front desk, lobby) are disinfected repeatedly throughout the day as a precautionary measure.
When you arrive for an appointment, you will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire about your recent travel history, whether you have had contact with anyone testing positive for COVID- 19, and your current state of health. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms such as an elevated fever, cough, or shortness of breath, we will happily reschedule your appointment, when your symptoms are gone, at a time that’s convenient for you. Thank you for your understanding in helping to keep the offices safe.

Please be understanding with our new check-in policies as they are in place for your safety and the safety of our community:

  1. Your temperature will be taken at check-in. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher, will be rescheduled.
  2. Adults, please only bring yourself to your appointment.
  3. If you are a parent bringing your child, please only bring the child with the scheduled appointment.
  4. Patients will be asked to wait in their vehicles after completing the check-in process to limit the number of people in the office at one time. You’ll receive a call or text when the doctor is ready to see you.

*General Dentistry Services will be provided on an emergency and case-by-case basis at this time.

*The information below may change at any time.
